The Focused Eye Society is our longest and most personal photography journeys for women: five to six days, ten travelers, two coaches, and some of the most beautiful light in the country. Each trip is curated. We read every application and build groups that will shoot beautifully together.

Daily coaching from two working photographers and about an hour a day reviewing your best work together.

There is no right kind of photographer here. We are looking for curiosity, warmth, and a way of seeing that is yours.

If a journey is full, you go first on the list for the next one, with priority booking on our San Francisco and Sedona workshops.

Every woman who completes a Society journey becomes a lifetime member. Members receive first access to new journeys, an invitation to our annual gathering, and a place in the Focused Eye alumni exhibition.

Sea stacks and tide pools, from beach hotels right on the water.
Destinations and dates are being finalized. Investment begins at $7,000 per traveler, with lodging, most meals and ground transport included.

The Golden Hour Ticket
Every month we post one photo assignment, open to anyone. Diane, Sarah and a guest judge choose a winner each month, and once a year one of those winners receives a Golden Hour Ticket: a seat on a Society journey, on us.
No purchase or application necessary to enter. Winners are chosen by judges on the photograph alone. Official rules will be posted here before the first assignment.
